Cyndi's Red Pepper Jelly
Recently I came into posession of a jar of Cyndi's Pepper Jelly. I've had pepper jelly before and it has always been good, but never very hot. My experience with this stuff set new benchmarks in both taste and heat.
Cyndi's Pepper Jelly is a red habanero pepper jelly that packs some heat. I was really surprised by how hot jelly could be. It took me off guard and made me go..."WOW". I had no clue that a jelly could do that to me.
Now, before you get the wrong idea, this stuff isn't just a lot of heat with no taste. It tastes wonderful. It has a sweet habanero flavor that is very close to the real taste of the pepper.
Overall...I really liked this stuff. If you are interested you can buy it at....Cyndi's Hot Jelly/Sauce Site.
Time for some ratings.
Packaging: 4.5 stars. (I really like the font of the label and the logo on the lid.)
Taste: 5 stars (This is awesome stuff. I even put it on a PB & J sandwich this week. But goes really good on crackers with cream cheese.)
Initial Heat: 4 stars (This stuff has a great burn up front.)
Afterburn: 3 stars (Great up front heat, but it doesn't stick around long enough to really make you think twice about trying it again.)
